Day 3 - Climbing mountains, cutting corners

Trying to curb the enthusiasm is the name of the game. In terms of creativity and imagination at least. Keep it simple, check things off the list 1 at a time and do not get off track!

Well.. it's challenging to say the least, but I do believe that it is a good way to progress in terms of "getting things done" and the more everything is starting to come alive in the actual game to be, the more I'm starting to believe we actually can, get "this" done. Remember I said that I was struggling with textures? Exporting from blender, importing into Unity and all that? Well, I solved that. And then it came back in a slightly different way and I solved that. And.. well that has repeated itself a few times now and has caused a bit of a delay. Yes, I've learned from solving these issues, but ideally I would've learned (read: solved) them a little quicker.

I'd have wanted to present our first enemy model here today in the log, but that's not quite finished yet, so instead I can put the progress of day 2 on display. We've got all the range towers done, as you can see it's just 3 models in 4 different colors. It took more time to bake the textures than it did to create the models. I'm still wondering whether I could've done it quicker in any way other than baking 12 textures. Do let me know if you read this and facepalm right about now upon realizing that I baked 12 textures for this!

Forced myself back into my regular sleeping pattern, loads of stuff on the todo list for today. Still hopeful to have ample time left near the end to properly check out the game at the end and work on polish and balance together with lewl, but it does mean we need to shift into gear right about now. Coffee is finished anyway.

Be on the lookout for zombieboy next time around!
